Children and Young Persons Welfare Organisation

Our Work

CYPWO believes we can bring out the best in children whatever their difficulty and challenges. We want children to achieve their greatest potentials and grow up in a safe and stable environment.

We aim to deliver a proactive service for children and young people in their own environment; ensuring community participation and active involvement of parents, families, friends, significant  others and relevant stake holders thereby ensuring a holistic approach to our interventions and care package.

CYPWO has designed its delivery of service to cover the following areas of abuse:
    Physical
    Emotional
    Sexual
    Neglect

    Financial

CYPWO also aims to reach out to children and young people in rural areas, towns and cities by ensuring that appropriate support to minimise or eradicate the contributing factors of abuse are addressed; before they have a detrimental impact on children and young people who are at risk of any significant harm.

Profile of Services
•    Adoption Process:  Adoption is a way of giving a child a caring, loving and stable family. Adoptive parents make a lifetime commitment to a child and take on full parental responsibilities. We will provide a holistic assessment of prospective adopters. This service aims to provide a vetting for prospective adopters from different countries and raise awareness of the benefits of adoption through seminars, training and workshops aimed at increasing the knowledge of prospective local adopters
