The fact that child abuse is against the law is not enough. Everyone must play a role if we are to put an end to child cruelty.
Cruelty to children and neglect affect the physical well-being and mental health of the victim. Childhood is a formative time and abuse can have devastating long-term effects on children and in adulthood.
The impact of child maltreatment can be profound. Research shows that child maltreatment is associated with adverse mental health in children and these negative effects can last a lifetime.

Aims/Objectives
CYPWO aims to protect children, stop child abuse, neglect, alleged witch craft/spirit possession, child trafficking and any other form of cruelty towards children.
We aim to:
• Influence government policies and ever changing laws that affect children.
• Raise awareness and change public attitudes
• Help children get a good start in life
• Support children and their families
• Stop cruelty and maltreatment towards children
• Stop child abuse, child trafficking and any other form of cruelty towards children
• Raise funds
Our Beliefs: CYPWO believes children are our future and we will defend and protect vulnerable children to ensure that their voice is loud and can be heard.
We believe in the full potential of every child and young persons irrespective of their tribe, religion, who they are or their background. CYPWO believes every child and young person should enjoy a good quality of life regardless of their circumstances, behaviour or background.
